Sharrow Bay''''s new chocolate and ginger pudding has been launched to mark the hotels 60th anniversary in 2009. The pudding uses a warm, tantalising blend of dark Ecuadorian chocolate and the world’s finest ginger from Australia, making this dessert a dream choice for all chocolate connoisseurs.

Please note that to complete this dish you need 150ml (1/4 pint) of fresh double cream and that the pudding is ambient with a four month shelf life.

Serves 4

Ingredients

Pudding: Free range egg, buderim glace ginger (16.9%), unsalted butter, caster sugar, Guayaquil 64% chocolate (12.5%), wheat flour, invert sugar, cocoa powder (3.4%), baking powder, ground ginger (0.7%), preservative - potassium sorbate.

Sauce: Syrup, Sao Thome 70% chocolate (16.7%), pure cocoa mass (16.7%), cocoa powder (6.7%), black treacle.
